To some, business travel sounds simple. But with millions of fares, rules, taxes and fees, all changing every day across thousands of travel channels, its increasingly difficult for any travel management company to meet cost-containment requirements, support travellers and control the time spent by all in the process. But, there are solutions. 

The Big Shift

Through our new tagline, we recognize perhaps the biggest shift in our industry today caused by the changing behavior of travelers and travel buyers. It used to be that they came to us because they didn’t have much access to travel information. At the time, only we had all the knowledge and experience and access to the travel products. But all that is now fast changing.

Today’s travel buyers are different. They are now at the center of all kinds of information channels and are pulling the information toward them - they are in control. Today’s clients, even some of our contracted corporate clients, look online to start their travel planning.

Our role, redefined

This then, created the need for us at UNIGLOBE to be a partner to our clients in their travel buying with cost saving information that helps their trip planning. For example, by showing them how booking earlier can be one of the ways we can help them save money.

In the complex world of travel buying, our new tagline reflects simplifying complex choices for our clients. What might those choices be? Specifically:

  1. Did they get the best/lowest overall trip option for their entire trip beyond just the airfare (i.e. airfare+baggage fees+airport transfer+hotel).
  2. Was the travel policy complied with?
  3. Did they spend the least amount of time required in sourcing all of their trip related information?
